Jamie & Brendan’s wedding at True Wild Distilling

Jamie and Brendan’s True Wild Distilling wedding was the perfect way to start off the 2026 wedding season. As a Calgary wedding photographer, I was super excited to photograph my first wedding at True Wild. Especially with it a relatively new wedding venue in Calgary. When I arrived, Christina with Glimmer Vast was setting up her beautiful floral arrangements before the ceremony. Jamie’s choice for a green and white palette was very chic and modern with calla lilies, amaranths and green antherium.

Ceremony

Jamie and Brendan’s ceremony was on the second floor of the distillery. Additionally, their ceremony was officiated by a friend, which added a beautiful personal touch. Their ceremony took place in front of two beautiful windows, which offered some natural light to the moody industrial space.

Portraits At The Distillery

Following their ceremony, we took some portraits around the distillery. The beautiful stained glass behind the bar is one of the most notable things about True Wild, so photos at the bar were a must! The catwalk offered a dark and moody contrast to the brighter second floor, which made for some fun flash portraits.

Wedding Reception at True Wild Distilling

As the sun began to set, the second floor had been transformed into a beautiful reception space. Following dinner, Jamie and Brendan’s closest friends and family shared a few words and toasted the couple. We ended the evening with Jamie and Brendan’s first dance, followed by the formal parent dances. Before DJ Dillon opened up the dance floor, Jamie asked to get things going with a group photo with all of their guests.

Overall, Jamie and Brendan’s True Wild Distilling wedding was nothing short of perfect. Most importantly, they celebrated this new chapter surrounded by their closest friends and family. Jamie and Brendan’s day is a testament to the fact that you can break from tradition to celebrate your day the way that aligns with you and your partner.
