Editorial Studio Session On Film
For couples who enjoy the timelessness and artistry of black and white film, this editorial studio session on film is classic and nostalgic.
Editorial Studio Session at The Gallery Studio
As a Calgary wedding photographer, I often work on location when photographing weddings. It’s not often I get the chance to do wedding portraits in studio. One of my go to studios for an editorial studio session is The Gallery Studios. With big west facing windows, there’s no shortage of light in this beautiful space.
Taken Entirely On Film
I photographed this session on Kodak T-Max 400 black and white film. I love this film, specifically for it’s punchy contrast. For this session, I wanted to lean into working more with film. Film photography has always been my first love, but eventually became something I reached for second. As digital photography dominates the photography world, film was how I captured my own personal memories. As film has begun to gain its popularity in wedding photography, I wanted to photograph a session for fun. This session was more of a passion project and a good reason to shoot a few rolls of film before they expired. The results are a refined editorial portrait session that will stand the test of time.
