Retro 70s vibes meets downtown Calgary for this coffee shop engagement session.

Setting the Scene – Coffee Shop Engagement Session at analog coffee

Sarah and Stephen are currently planning their 70s themed wedding. Sarah reached out to me hoping to bring those 70s vibes for their engagement photos. She mentioned the idea of a coffee date. I knew Analog Coffee in Inglewood would be the perfect place to pop in for their coffee shop engagement session. To keep up with the theme of the session, I used both digital and film to tell Sarah and Stephen’s story.

Retro Coffee Shop in the Heart of Inglewood

If you’ve been to the Inglewood neighbourhood of Calgary, you’ll know its a quaint area east of downtown, filled with historical charm. Popular wedding venues like The Nash, Rouge Restaurant, and The Deane House call this part of Calgary home. Analog Coffee recently opened a location on 9th Ave. A cozy location that radiates a retro 1970s vibe. A cute nook with hanging spider plants and tiled wooden benches greets you as you enter. As you make your way through the shop, you come face to face with a hallway with vintage floral wallpaper.

We got some coffees to go and explored the neighbourhood. It was a beautiful autumn day in October. The leaves had held on a bit longer last year, which felt unusual for Calgary. As a result, we lucked out with a beautiful autumn backdrop in addition to the incredible vibes of the coffee shop.
